Antique restoration is undertaken on your furniture with the highest care and attention. An Estimate is given and the work required is agreed before it starts. The craftsmen repairing our furniture have had years of experience and training, as well as a love and interest in period furniture. This means that your restored piece of furniture will be given the care and attention that it deserves and admired for generations to come.
We use period woods including: oak, mahogany, walnut, rosewood as well as traditional tools, glues and techniques. All of these elegant materials combined with an eye for proportions and period ensure that you will be totally happy with the finished work. We also provide a full key cutting service. Antiques 4 has a large selection of high quality antique fittings as we have access to foundries to enable copies of fittings, if required, ensuring exact dimensions are preserved.
Only period finishes on antique furniture are used and a surface will never be stripped and resealed unless the original has long since disappeared. It is very sad to see beautiful antique furniture destroyed by careless restoration.
Clocks and Barometers
Antiques 4 offer a complete service that can include modern clocks to restoration projects. Estimates are given and work does not start until you approve the estimate. All reparation work carried out is performed to extremely high standards by trained personnel, who take great pride in their work.
